The course work and testing will be completed through the EMTS Plus learning management system. Students will be provided with recorded lectures that require interaction throughout the lecture. Each lecture is tracked and recorded as a grade. At the end of each lecture students will have a timed test that replicates the certification exam. Support for the learning management system will be available to the students Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Course work is assigned each Monday and due by 11:59 p.m. each Sunday. Mandatory in class skills will be performed on Wednesdays from 10am - 4pm. The instructor will review any questions the students have and introduce all required skills. In addition to skills, the instructor will coordinate required mock scenarios. EMTS PLUS LLC. will provide the students with books, EMT certification test preparation and a uniform shirt for clinical rotations. Students must pass all five sections of the course with a grade of 75 or greater, complete all certifications and complete all skill requirements prior to the end of the course. A minimum of 48 hours of ride time is required at one of EMTS Plus's contracted EMS services. There are specific skills and assessments that are required to be completed during clinical rotations. Students are required to have a valid drivers license and high school diploma or GED. Course Work Policy To complete the course state requirements must be done & a minimum average grade of 75 is required in each section of the course. There are 5 sections in the course. Students must participate in all labs and successfully pass all skills and scenarios. Payment plan options are available through EMTS Plus. Contact us for more details. Supplies Students are required to purchase their own blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, pen light, pens, notebook Basic Life Support Certification, pants, shoes, belt and shoes (clinical uniform).
